The Beauaraba Living Care team delivers skilled, timely and compassionate care to meet the resident/patient needs, physically, spiritually and emotionally. This supports the resident/patient’s independence and dignity. In this way we support the resident/patient to fulfil their psychological needs of love, comfort, attachment, inclusion, purpose and identity.

Facilities
Our care program offers modern single or shared room accommodation with ensuite, TV and telephone facilities.
There are tranquil spaces available which provide welcome relief for both patients and visitors.
Admission
Admission is arranged via your own private doctor. You may request that your Doctor admit you to our service. This service is for self-funded or private health insurance clients.

Residential Care
Our approach to Residential Care:
- Provide care program for 64 residents. This is a community owned service under the auspices of the Pittsworth & District Hospital Friendly Society LTD.
- The facility is situated in a quiet area of Pittsworth. As we offer both acute and residential care there is added peace of mind with the knowledge that immediate medical advice and assistance is on hand.
Facilities
Room features for the Low Care area include: Bed sit with ensuite, individual reverse cycle air conditioning furniture including refrigerator, storage for personal effects, connection available for private phones and TV and designed for wheel chair access.
There are tea making facilities in both the Low and High Care areas of the service for use by the residents and visitors.
A central dining room, lounge and TV room is provided. Central areas are fitted with air-conditioning for your comfort.
Ageing in Place
Your accommodation at Residential Care is offered on a respite and permanent basis. You are encouraged to treat your room as your own.
We provide an Ageing in Place service. At all times we assist you to retain your independence and our focus is to meet your needs.
Services Offered
Services Supplied to Residents include:
- All meals. We offer a varied menu which provides you choice and variety. Family and guests are welcome to join us.
- Personal and nursing care needs with 24 hour Registered Nursing, and Carer support onsite.
- Activities & Diversional Therapy programs designed to enhance your lifestyle options and promote wellbeing.
- Linen Service.
- Double rooms for married couples.
- Cleaning and housekeeping.
- Medication Management, if required.
- Doctors visit on site.
- Maintenance of buildings and grounds for a safe and attractive environment to relax in.

Independent Living Units
- Eight independent living units – these are one bedroom self -contained units (carpeted, screened & carport), providing quality affordable accommodation for seniors.
Located in Daniel Street, they are in close proximity to the Hospital, Hostel & the Bowls Club

Pathology collection centre will operate Monday to Friday

Our care team
We seek to provide you with the best possible support we can. This is through our highly skilled and trained care team.
Our care team undergo a rigorous employment process including police checks. The Care team are taken through a comprehensive induction and training program which enables them to understand the services culture, work practices and most importantly your needs.
Our care team continue to improve their clinical skills through professional development programs.

Our Community Volunteers
The Beauaraba Living Care Program encourages involvement from the community across all age sectors, sharing their vast array of skills to enhance the life of our resident/patient. This involvement provides a strong foundation for the continuum of social, cultural and spiritual interaction and support.
Without the support and dedication of the community, volunteers, and our staff, we would not be able to sustain the current level of services we provide at Beauaraba Living.
Volunteering enables you to use your experience and talents to improve the quality of the lives of others, while developing new skills and making new friends. You can volunteer in areas that suits your time and talents. You may be able to read, play cards or just visit for a while. We offer a range of opportunities for volunteers.
